Franz Zentner

Came to South Russia (Katharinental) with his his two older
brothers at the age of 12 in the year 1814.


Michael Kohler

Left Amsterdam about 10:00 AM on November 7, 1891 on board the
steamship "Spartan". They arrived in New York City on November 23,
and Richardton, North Dakota on November 28, 1891.


Katherine Zentner

Died in infancy.


Magdalena Kohler

Entered the Order of St. Benedicts Convent in 1899 at St. Cloud,Minnesota and took the name of Sister Raphael, O.S.B. While there, shetold one Rose Hatzenbuler about her brother Peter and, after a 2 yearcourtship by correspondence, the two eventually married.


Peter Kohler

Peter, son of Michael Kohler and Katherine Zentner, was born
January 4, 1890. He came to America with his parents, they settled in
North Dakota.

He married Rose Mary Katzenbuler. She was born September 20,
1888 at Odessa, Russia. They were married November 3, 1914 at Valley
City, North Dakota. They moved to Yakima, Washington in July 1935. He
was a finish carpenter and cement finisher by trade, later working at
St. Joseph's Academy for eight years.

On November 26, 1983, Rose preceded Peter in death. She was 95
yearsold. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and St.
Joseph's AltarSociety. She was survived by her husband, two sons,
Peter and George Kohler,and six daughters, Marilyn Kohler, Helen
Burham, Rose Winkler, Eleanor Bossert, Alice Klundt and Rita May
Heneline.

Peter enjoyed gardening, playing cards, wood working and making
furniture and toys for his children. He died December 24, 1985. He also
was 95 years old and survived by his two sons, and six daughters. [YHR]
