Car-crash victim a man who stopped to help

Stony Plain RCMP have identified Joseph Anthony Schoenberger as the man killed Sunday in a two-vehicle crash.
The 31-year-old Riviere Qui Barre man had stopped to help another motorist when the crash occurred Sunday morning on Highway 635, 15 km west of Highway 2. Four other persons suffered minor injuries.

SCHOENBERGER, Alphonse (Al) Joseph

On Friday, November 1, 1985, Mr. Alphonse (Al) Joseph Schoenberger passed away at the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, at the age of 47 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Rita, two sons, David and Keith, three daughters, Loretta, Lisa and Shari, also his mother Elisabeth Schoenberger, on sister Margaret and her husband Ray Senkoe, his brothers Robert and his wife Joyce, Bernard and his wife Lil, Frank and his wife Hilda, Paul and his wife Paulette, Karl, Ed and his wife Polly, and Martin and his wife Susan. He is also predeceased by his father Joseph and one brother Joseph.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 1985 at 10:30 a.m. at our Lady Of The Peace, Roman Catholic Church, Peace River, Alberta, with Reverend Werner Merx officiating. Prayers will be resided on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Interment to follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Peace River, Alberta. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Al Schoenberger memorial fund c/o Glen Mary School, Peace River. Arrangements under the direction of the Chapel of Memories (Peace River Limited).
