"Kramer, Bernard Joseph, long-time resident of Fairview, Alberta passed away on June 11, 2008 in Fairview at the age of 73. Ben was born on October 29, 1934 at Fairview. Ben spent his life farming and retired in 1990. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed many hobbies such as wood working, camping, reading and talking about farming. Ben was predeceased by his brother Leo Kramer, father Mattius Kramer, mother Frances (Zinzlemeyer) Kramer and sister Hedwig. Ben is survived by his wife Marta; sons: Steven and Michael; daughters: Bernie, Marion, Jo-Anne, Karen, and Elaine; 21 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers: Alphonse Kramer, Tony Kramer, John Kramer and Bert Kramer; sisters: Mary Wild and Matilda VantErve. Prayer service for the late Ben Kramer was held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Ben Nwaeje officiating. Funeral service was held June 14, 2008 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Ben Nwaeje officiating. Music was provided by organist, Marie Meashaw; soloist, Dominique Leger and Gil Leger as well as songs by Herman Luck, Tony Luck, Ed Luck, Louise Dart and Charlotte Henderson. Honourary pallbearers were Daniel Webb, Benjamin Luiken, Owen Luiken, Mitchell Kramer, Mason Kramer, Harrison Sowa and Garrett Sowa. Eulogist was Jim Henderson. Active pallbearers were Scott Webb, Chis Sowa, Matthew Webb, Andrew Webb, Darcy Kramer and Zachary Lazelle. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Moran Funeral Home, Fairview."
